Appreciate by loving

Writing this while listening to my favorite movie soundtrack, I feel that we, people, should appreciate others more when they are nearby. From the very beginning of “One Day” I felt that the movie squishes out friendship, long discussions and last but not least, love.

It’s the feeling of Jim Sturgess and Anne Hathaway altogether with a great, tactile view of French-English elements that give you a feeling of personal vividly improvement.

Lovely dresses, incredible view, outstanding lines keep you away from the real life while taking your mind away on an ideal world where everything is possible. Still, Sturgess and Hathaway represent the images of those who are working their life off to get a house, but firstly financial independence whereas Monsieur Dexter, as she tells him while waiting for him at the airport, he struggles to get out of a state of complete life blurriness. She fights for her dreams whereas he searches his way out from too much self liberty. But this is not what I consider being most important in this movie.

The movie reminded me about appreciation. Whoever is there reading this post, if you know me, if we already had the long-endless-discussions-walks, then you know me. But for those who have not, please, appreciate people you like talking ,walking , eating, chatting or simply sticking with. It doesn't matter if they don't have money, a good life, or daily great-new stories. If they do, suggest better ways of spending them.  If the case asks for it. There are children in Romania eating one loaf of bread for 1 week.  Maybe more days. We should fight more for people.

Appreciate  for the love of God. Love them. Show them how much you care about them. Bring them a cup of tea when they have a crowded impossible schedule that does not afford them to do it by themselves, give them a call when you are away or too expensive. You know why? Because as this movie suggest,  life is too short to think it about  in years now, months now, days now or minutes now. The movie shows you to simply appreciate people, to show them your love while encouraging or give them a good piece of advice. We’re not facebook to program our settings. People need the unpredictable. We have become mechanical.

And as the Corinthians say:” Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.  For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.  And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Love is the healing feeling.  And as Emma says at the end “Whatever happens tomorrow, we have today.”
Love is the proof you’re still alive.

Ending this, but coming back with more, I shall recommend you Rachel Portman's song "We had today". It is the soundtrack I was talking about at the beginning. And if you enjoyed it after you read my article, play it once more. Feel the difference.

God bless you! Love!
